The first stage of the “Medicines back to the Pharmacy” campaign aimed to educate and increase awareness in society of the importance of proper disposal of pharmaceuticals. In the second stage, we want to focus on activities in pharmacies, during which we will provide pharmacies and patients with educational tools that enable and facilitate the collection of unnecessary/expired medicines.
As part of a series of initiatives, the campaign “The World in Your Hands”, which is part of the “Medicines back to Pharmacies” campaign was launched in early September.
Through this campaign, pharmacies will receive:
· educational materials for patients on the proper disposal of medications,
· stickers for home medicine cabinets and special bags reminding people of these guidelines,
· covers for containers used for expired medications.
Our partnership aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implemented by the ONZ. We contribute to SDG 17: Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
