As the largest Polish pharmaceutical company, we want to help people live a healthy life in a healthy world, and care for the climate and the environment is an integral part of this mission. A key element of our energy transformation is to increase the share of renewable energy used in our production facilities.
Following this direction, we started the construction of a photovoltaic farm in Starogard Gdański. The 2.4 MWp plant will consist of over 4,000 photovoltaic panels. Through a dedicated transformer station, it will be connected to the internal power infrastructure of the plant. It will be equipped with the latest digital systems ensuring on-line acquisition of measurement data, including those relating to energy production and the status of apparatus and its visualization, as well as local and remote control, alarming about emergency events and data archiving in real-time.
Thanks to the use of intelligent control systems, all electricity produced by the farm and the power it outputs will be used for own needs by the plant in Starogard Gdański. This will change the daily profile of power consumption and reduce the amount of purchased electricity, which will reduce the carbon footprint and costs of energy consumption. The production plant is planned to be launched in the middle of next year.
