PLN 800 million for R&D and green investment

Today we have signed a significant loan agreement for PLN 800 million with a consortium of banks, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, BNP Paribas Bank Polska, PKO Bank Polski, and Santander Bank Polska. The loan will contribute to long-term development of Polpharma including R&D projects and “Go Green" transformation aimed at minimizing the environmental and climate impact of our operations.

“The elements of innovation and sustainable development are very important to us and we are happy that these initiatives are willingly supported by the Polish and international banking sector. I want to thank our financial partners for their trust, mutual understanding of common goals, and valuable collaboration” – says Wojciech Rosa, Member of Polpharma S.A. Management Board.

Development of modern medicines needed by patients and response to the current climate challenges are important directions of our activity. Investment in new technologies will help us in the development of new APIs and finished products in currently unavailable niches. The loan will also be invested in state-of-the-art solutions that will generate more energy from renewable sources, improve our energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
